Granny Smith wins!

Last week we learned all about Johnny Appleseed, the life cycle of apples and the seasons of an apple tree. We capped the week with an apple taste test; see how we voted below!

Students also got new seats on Monday. Typically I only move seats four times a year (once each 9 weeks), but it's nice to give a student a seat based on his or her personality and who he/she interacts well with.  It's hard to do that at the beginning of the year when you don't know the children and how they act!

Since we got new seats, it seemed like a good time to introduce my friends:

Quiet Critters!!!

Quiet critters only come out when it's quiet.  Students can earn them, as a table, by adhering to the voice level shown on the voice level clip chart.  Students at the table with the most quiet critters at the end of the day get a sticker on their behavior chart and a stamp on their hand!  Quiet critters can be earned and lost throughout the day.

Ask your child how many quiet critters his/her table got each day!

As always, owl be teaching you tomorrow!
